पश्चिम बंगाल की मुख्यमंत्री ममता बनर्जी गुरुवार को उस समय अपना आपा खो बैठीं जब कुछ लोगों के एक समूह ने 'जय श्री राम' के नारे लगाये. बनर्जी का काफिला उत्तरी 24 परगना जिले के संकटग्रस्त भाटपारा से गुजर रहा था तभी कुछ लोगों ने जय श्री राम के नारे लगाये जिसके बाद वह एक बार फिर अपना आपा खो बैठीं. इस घटना के बाद 10 युवाओं को हिरासत में लिया गया, जिन्हें बाद में पूछताछ कर छोड़ दिया गया. इसके साथ ही स्थानीय इंस्पेक्टर का भी तबादला कर दिया गया है.

बाराबंकी जिले के रामनगर क्षेत्र में जहरीली शराब पीने से 16 लोगों की मौत हो गई. रामनगर के पुलिस क्षेत्राधिकारी पवन गौतम के मुताबिक रानीगंज गांव और उसके आसपास के छोटे गांवों के कई लोगों ने सोमवार/मंगलवार की दरमियानी रात को शराब पी थी, उसके बाद उनकी तबीयत खराब हो गई. इसी बीच उनमें से एक-एक कर कम से कम दस लोगों की मौत हो गई. मामले में चौथे आरोपी की गिरफ्तारी भी हो गई है.

TMC के 2 विधायक और 50 पार्षद BJP में शामिल हो गए हैं. इसके अलावा CPM का भी एक विधायक भारतीय जनता पार्टी (BJP) में शामिल हुआ है. बीजेपी ज्वाइन करने वाले विधायकों में भाजपा नेता मुकुल रॉय (Mukul Roy) के बेटे शुभ्रांशु रॉय भी शामिल हैं. तीनों विधायकों को दिल्ली स्थित बीजेपी मुख्यालय राष्ट्रीय महासचिव कैलाश विजयवर्गीय ने पार्टी की सदस्यता दिलाई. उन्होंने कहा कि टीएमसी के कई और काउंसलर आगे भी बीजेपी में शामिल होने वाले हैं. और लोकसभा चुनाव में पार्टी की हार के बाद कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष राहुल गांधी के इस्तीफा देने की चर्चाएं तेज हैं. राहुल गांधी ने जहां सीडब्ल्यूसी की बैठक में इस्तीफे की पेशकश की थी वहीं सीडब्ल्यूसी ने उनके इस्तीफे को लेने से इनकार कर दिया था. इस पूरे मामले में एनडीटीवी ने आम लोगों की राय जानने की कोशिश की. एनडीटीवी से बातचीत में आम लोगों ने कहा कि राहुल गांधी को चाहिए कि वह अपने पद से इस्तीफा देकर किसी नए नेता को यह जिम्मेदारी सौंपें. इससे पार्टी को नए सिरे से खड़ा करने में मदद मिलेगी.

लोकसभा चुनाव के नतीजों से जो आंकडें आए हैं वो चौंकाने वाले हैं. इसके अनुसार दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल खुद अपनी सीट हार गए हैं और तीसरे नंबर पर हैं. नई दिल्ली विधानसभा में जहां 2015 में केजरीवील ने शीला दीक्षित को हराया था वहां इस बार खुद कांग्रेस से पीछे हैं. यहां में कांग्रेस को इस लोकसभा चुनाव के मुताबिक 26 हजार 312 वोट मिले हैं तो आम आदमी पार्टी को 14 हजार 740 वोट मिले हैं. यही नहीं नजफगढ़ से केजरीवाल सरकार में मंत्री कैलाश गहलोत भी तीसरे नंबर पर हैं, यहां कांग्रेस को लोकसभा के वोटों के अनुसार 23 हजार 354 वोट मिलेगें तो आप को 22 हजार 302 वोट. यदि इन आकंड़ों के आधार पर विधानसभा के क्षेत्रवार सीटों से मिलान किया जाए तो दिल्ली की 70 सीटों में से बीजेपी 65 सीट जीत सकती और कांग्रेस 5 सीटें जबकि आम आदमी पार्टी का खाता भी नहीं खुलता दिख रहा है.
