The Uttar Pradesh government has said it aims to vaccinate 6 lakh people daily starting today, as part of a big pan-India push for Covid vaccinations. However, UP's challenge is immense - with its 23 crore population, it will need to double its daily vaccination numbers to meet the assigned target. Less than 2 percent of the state's population is fully vaccinated.
