Ex-Kolkata Top Cop Gets Protection From Arrest In Saradha Chit Fund Scam

Former Kolkata police chief Rajeev Kumar has been given protection from arrest by the Calcutta High Court in the in the Saradha chit fund scam. The case is "not fit for custodial interrogation", the court said, adding that Mr Kumar must be given a 48 hour-notice before is summoned by the CBI for interrogation.

चुनावी हलफनामे में जानकारी छिपाने के मामले में HC का फैसला रद्द

महाराष्ट्र के CM देवेंद्र फडणवीस को सुप्रीम कोर्ट की ओर से मंगलवार को बड़ा झटका चला है. चुनावी हलफनामे में जानकारी छिपाने के मामले में सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने हाईकोर्ट का फैसला रद्द करते हुए उनके खिलाफ ट्रायल चलाने का आदेश दिया है. उनके खिलाफ मजिस्ट्रेट कोर्ट में ट्रायल चलेगा. महाराष्ट्र के मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस के खिलाफ दाखिल याचिका पर सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने फैसला सुनाया है. सुप्रीम कोर्ट को यह तय करना था कि 2014 के चुनावी हलफनामे में आपराधिक केसों की जानकारी छिपाने पर फडणवीस के खिलाफ कानूनी कार्रवाई की इजाजत दी जाए या नहीं.

IVF के जरिए बेटा पैदा करने के लिए भेजते थे विदेश

दिल्ली के करोल बाग में लिंग जांच की शिकायत मिलने के बाद राज्य पुलिस और स्वास्थ्य विभाग ने कॉल सेंटर पर छापा मारा है. छापा मारने के बाद पता चला कि इस कॉल सेंटर से महिलाओं को IVF से बेटा पैदा करने के लिए विदेश भेजा जाता था. देश भर के करीब 100 IVF सेंटर से था इस कॉल सेंटर का टाइअप था. यह कॉल सेंटर दो साल से चल रहा है और अब तक करीब 6 लाख मरीजों को विदेश भेज चुका है. कॉल सेंटर का मालिक IIT इंजीनियर है. कॉल सेंटर में करीब 300 लोग काम करते हैं. पुलिस और स्वास्थ्य विभाग मामले की जांच कर रहे हैं

मध्यप्रदेश के भिंड जिले के लहार में एक लोकल अखबार चलाने वाले पत्रकार पर आधा दर्जन नकाबपोश बदमाशों ने हमला कर दिया. बदमाशों ने पत्रकार को सड़क पर पटककर जमकर पीटा और फरार हो गए. मारपीट की इस वारदात को पास ही मौजूद एक शख्स ने मोबाइल के कैमरे में कैद कर लिया. पुलिस ने पत्रकार की फरियाद पर आधा दर्जन लोगों के खिलाफ मामला दर्ज कर लिया है. दरअसल भिंड के लहार इलाके के निवासी रिपुदमन सिंह 'इंडिया आजकल' नाम से एक लोकल अखबार चलाते हैं. रविवार को रिपुदमन सिंह घर से सब्जी मंडी के लिए निकले थे. तभी रास्ते में बाइक सवार आधा दर्जन बदमाशों ने रिपुदमन सिंह को घेर लिया और सड़क पर पटककर जमकर पिटाई कर दी.

बिहार में बारिश रुकने के बाद बचाव कार्य में जुटा प्रशासन

बिहार के कई जिलों में मुसलाधार बारिश की वजह से बीते कुछ दिनों से जलजमाव की स्थिति है. खास तौर पर पटना और आसपास के जिलों में हालात ज्यादा खराब हैं. मौसम विभाग ने राज्य में बारिश को लेकर अलर्ट भी जारी किया है.राज्य सरकार के अनुसार बिहार के कई जिलों में हो रही बारिश की वजह से मरने वालों का आंकड़ा बढ़कर 40 हो गया है. क्लाइमेट चेंज के कारण पर्यावरण को पहुंच रहे नुकसान को लेकर 16 बच्चों ने सरकारों के खिलाफ संयुक्त राष्ट्र में शिकायत दर्ज करवाई है. इन 16 बच्चों द्वारा दायर की गई पिटीशन में लिखा है कि दुनिया के 5 देशों तुर्की, अर्जेंटीना, फ्रांस, जर्मनी और ब्राजील ने जलवायु संकट को रोकने के लिए पर्याप्त कदम नहीं उठाकर मानवाधिकारों का हनन किया है. जिन 16 बच्चों ने शिकायत की है उनमें ग्रेटा थनबर्ग (Greta Thunberg) के साथ उत्तराखंड की रिद्धिमा पांडे भी शामिल हैं. 11 साल की रिद्धिमा पर्यावरण एक्टिविस्ट की बेटी हैं. रिद्धिमा कहती हैं, “मैं एक बेहतर भविष्य चाहती हूं. मैं अपना भविष्य बचाना चाहती हूं. मैं सभी बच्चों और आने वाली पीढ़ियों के सभी लोगों के भविष्य को बचाना चाहती हूं.

नदी के तेज बहाव में पुल से गिरा बच्चियों से भरा ट्रक

राजस्थान के डूंगरपुर ज़िले में मूसलाधार बारिश के चलते नदी नाले उफ़ान पर हैं. बारिश की वजह से शहर के निचले इलाक़ों में पानी भर गया है, जिसकी वजह से एक पुलिया पर आवाजाही बंद कर दी गई है लेकिन, अचानक एक ट्रक चालक ने अपनी गाड़ी इस पुल से पास कराने की कोशिश की. पानी का बहाव तेज होने की वजह से ट्रक अनियंत्रित होकर नीचे गिर गया. ख़तरनाक बात ये थी कि इस ट्रक में ड्राइवर ने करीब 15-16 स्कूली बच्चियों को भी बिठा रखा था. हादसे के बाद पुल के पास जमा ग्रामीणों ने बड़ी ही मुश्किलों से रस्सियों के सहारे इन सभी बच्चों की जान बचाई. हादसे के बाद ट्रक ड्राइवर वहां से फरार हो गया है.

उत्तर-प्रदेश और बिहार के कई जिलों में हो रही भारी बारिश की वजह से जनजीवन खासा प्रभावित हुआ है. कई जगहों पर ट्रेने रद्द की गई हैं तो कई जगह ट्रेनों का रूट डायवर्ट किया गया है. मौसम विभाग द्वारा जारी अलर्ट के मद्देनजर अगले कुछ दिनों में दोनों ही राज्यों में भारी से भारी बारिश हो सकती है. बारिश और बारिश के बाद बने बाढ़ जैसे हालात की वजह से अभी तक अकेले इन दोनों राज्यों में 70 से ज्यादा लोगों की मौत हो गई. बिहार में लगातार बारिश से राजधानी पटना की सड़कों और आसपास के इलाकों में जलभराव हो गया है. उत्तर प्रदेश में बीते चार दिनों में ही 73 लोगों की मौत हुई है. उत्तर प्रदेश का प्रयागराज और बनारस समेत आसपास के जिलों में भारी बारिश का अलर्ट जारी किया गया है. यूपी सरकार की तरफ से जारी बयान के अनुसार बारिश के कारण घर गिरने, पेड़ गिरने व सांप के काटने के चलते लोगों की मौत हुई.

गोरखपुर के बीआरडी मेडिकल कॉलेज अस्पताल के निलंबित शिशु रोग विशेषज्ञ डॉक्टर कफ़ील ख़ान विभागीय जांच में निर्दोष पाए गए हैं. बीआरडी मेडिकल कॉलेज अस्पताल में 10 अगस्त 2017 को ऑक्सीजन की कमी से कई बच्चों की मौत हुई थी. डॉक्टर कफ़ील को लापरवाही, भ्रष्टाचार और ठीक से काम नहीं करने के आरोप में सस्पेंड किया गया था. लेकिन अब विभागीय जांच रिपोर्ट में डॉक्टर कफ़ील को सभी आरोपों से मुक्त कर दिया गया है. इससे पहले डॉक्टर कफ़ील ख़ान इन्हीं आरोपों में 8 महीने की जेल काट चुके हैं. ये जांच रिपोर्ट भी इस साल 18 अप्रैल को ही आ गई थी लेकिन डॉ कफ़ील को कल ही दी गई. क्लीनचिट मिलने के बाद डॉ. कफील ने एनडीटीवी से बातचीत में कहा कि क्लीनचिट मिलने से वह काफी खुश हैं. जांच रिपोर्ट में आने में दो साल लग गए हालांकि उनको न्याय की उम्मीद थी. लेकिन 2 सालों तक उनके परिवार ने प्रताड़ना बर्दाश्त की है.

स्कूल फीस ना दे पाने की वजह से पिता ने की बेटी की हत्या

गाजियाबाद: 70 लाख के गबन के आरोप में 7 पुलिसकर्मी सस्पेंड

After Top Court Criticism, Kerala Set To Act Against Kochi Builders

Days after being criticised by the Supreme Court, the Kerala government has decided to initiate criminal proceedings against the builders of four residential buildings marked for demolition in a posh lakeside location of Kochi. The government has also issued notices to various civic bodies, instructing them to discontinue water and electricity supply to around 343 residential units in the apartment complexes located in the city's upscale Maradu area. The power and water supply lines were disconnected this morning. The residents of the buildings, ranging from retired professionals to doctors, bankers, celebrities and businessmen, have refused to vacate the flats and instead threatened to intensify protests against the proposed demolition.

अयोध्या मामले की 31वें दिन की सुनवाई बुधवार को सुप्रीम कोर्ट में जारी रही. सुन्नी वक्फ बोर्ड ने अब अपने बयान से यू-टर्न ले लिया है. सुन्नी वक्फ बोर्ड ने कहा कि वो राम चबूतरे को भगवान राम का जन्मस्थान नहीं मानते. बोर्ड का कहना है कि वह अभी तक यह स्वीकार नहीं किया है. वह बस 1885 के कोर्ट का आदेश बता रहे हैं. सुन्नी वक्फ बोर्ड का स्टैंड भी वही है जो मुस्लिम पक्ष की तरफ से राजीव धवन ने रखा है. मुस्लिम पक्षकारों के वकील राजीव धवन ने कहा कि वो मानते है कि अयोध्या में भगवान राम का जन्म हुआ था, लेकिन कहां वो नहीं बता सकते. वहीं, जिलानी ने 1862 की एक रिपोर्ट का हवाला दिया जिसमें जन्मस्थान को एक अलग मंदिर बताया गया. रिपोर्ट में कहा गया है कि राम कोट भगवान राम का जन्मस्थान है.

The Reserve Bank of India has put limitations on the withdrawal of amount by account-holders of the Mumbai-based Punjab and Maharashtra Co-Operative Bank (PMC Bank). The restrictions will remain in force for a period of six months starting the end of business hours on September 23, the central bank said. "The depositors will be allowed to withdraw a sum not exceeding Rs. 1,000 of the total balance in every savings bank account or current account or any other deposit account by whatever name called, subject to conditions stipulated in the RBI Directions," the RBI said in a press release.

उन्नाव रेप पीड़िता को दिल्ली एम्स से मंगलवार को देर शाम को डिस्चार्ज कर दिया गया. अगले सात दिनों तक पीड़िता और उसके परिवार को एम्स के जय प्रकाश नारायण ट्रामा सेंटर के हॉस्टल में रखा जाएगा. दरअसल तीस हजारी कोर्ट का आदेश है कि पीड़िता को डिस्चार्ज के बादअगले 7 दिनों तक ट्रामा सेंटर हॉस्टल में रहने की अस्थाई व्यवस्था की जाए. पीड़िता यहां अपने परिवार के सदस्यों- मां, दो बहन और एक भाई के साथ रहेगी. पीड़िता के परिवार वालों ने कोर्ट से कहा कि उनकी जान को उनके गांव में खतरा है लिहाजा अपनी सुरक्षा के मद्देनजर वह दिल्ली में ही रहना चाहते है. इसके बाद अदालत ने गवाह सुरक्षा दिशा-निर्देशों के तहत ये निर्देश दिए. उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार ने रिपोर्ट में कहा था कि पीड़िता का परिवार राष्ट्रीय राजधानी में रहना चाहता है.

Petrol, Diesel Prices Rise For Eighth Day In A Row

Petrol and diesel rates were increased by state-run oil marketing companies on Tuesday, which marked an eight straight day of hike in the fuel rates. With effect from 6 am on Tuesday, the price of petrol was at Rs. 74.13 per litre in Delhi, Rs. 76.82 per litre in Kolkata, Rs. 79.79 per litre in Mumbai and Rs. 77.06 per litre in Chennai, according to Indian Oil Corporation's (IOC) website, iocl.com. Petrol prices were hiked in the range of 22-23 paise per litre in the four metros compared to the previous day's rates, data from Indian Oil showed.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने मंगलवार को एक बड़ा फैसला सुनाया है. कोर्ट ने कहा कि आपराधिक मामले की जांच के दौरान पुलिस किसी अचल संपत्ति को जब्त नहीं कर सकती. लेकिन चल संपत्ति को फ्रीज करने पर कोई रोक नहीं है. CRPC की धारा 102 को लेकर दो जजों की बेंच ने सहमति से यह फैसला सुनाया. मामला जांच के दौरान पुलिस द्वारा संपत्ति जब्त करने के संबंध में आपराधिक प्रक्रिया संहिता यानी CrPC की 102 की शक्तियों से संबंधित है.

State-run oil marketing companies increased petrol and diesel prices on Monday, marking a seventh straight day of hike in the fuel rates. With effect from 6 am on Monday, the price of petrol was at Rs. 73.91 per litre in Delhi, Rs. 76.60 per litre in Kolkata, Rs. 79.57 per litre in Mumbai and Rs. 76.83 per litre in Chennai, according to notifications from Indian Oil Corporation (IOC). Petrol prices were increased by up to 29 paise per litre in the Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai, compared to the previous day's rates, data from Indian Oil showed. In Chennai, petrol rates were hiked by 31 paise per litre.

प्याज एक बार फिर रुला रहा है. दिल्ली-एनसीआर में खुदरा बाज़ार में प्याज़ 60-70 रुपये प्रति किलो मिल रहा है. वहीं थोक बाज़ार में प्याज़ की क़ीमत 35-45 रुपये प्रति किलो है. दिल्ली स्थित आजादपुर मंडी में प्याज का थोक भाव 50 रुपये प्रति किलो हो गया है, जोकि 2015 के बाद का सबसे ऊंचा स्तर है. वहीं, एशिया की सबसे बड़ी प्याज मंडी महाराष्ट्र के लासलगांव में भी प्याज 50 रुपये प्रति किलो बिकने लगा है.

Stock Markets Extend Rally After Corporate Tax Cut

Domestic equity benchmarks cheered the government's move to cut corporate tax rates for the second session in a row, with the S&P BSE Sensex index surging 1,331.39 points in early trade on Monday outperforming Asian peers. The broader NSE Nifty 50 benchmark surpassed the 11,650 mark, after clocking the biggest single-day gain in over a decade last Friday. Buying across sectors barring IT and pharma shares pushed the markets higher, with banking, auto and consumer goods stocks being the top gainers. खूंटी में गोकशी के आरोप में भीड़ ने तीन लोगों को बेरहमी से पीटा, एक की मौत

खूंटी में मॉब लिंचिंग का मामला सामने आया है. इस मामले में एक शख्स की मौत हो गई और 2 लोग गंभीर रूप से घायल हैं. तीनों लोगों पर ग्रामीणों को शक था कि वो प्रतिबंधित मांस बेच रहे थे. यह जानकारी डीआईजी एवी होमकर ने रविवार को दी. होमकर ने कहा, 'सुबह 10 बजे कर्रा पुलिस स्टेशन के प्रभारी को कुछ ग्रामीणों ने जानकारी दी कि कुछ लोग प्रतिबंधित मांस बेच रहे हैं और ग्रामीणों ने उन्हें पकड़ लिया है और उनकी पिटाई हो रही है. पुलिस जब वहां पहुंची तो पाया कि तीन लोगों की गांववालों ने पिटाई कर दी है. दो लोगों को इलाज के लिए रांची के रिम्स भेजा गया. एक शख्स की इलाज के लिए ले जाने के दौरान मौत हो गई.'

कांग्रेस की अध्यक्ष सोनिया गांधी और पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री मनमोहन सिंह तिहाड़ जेल में बंद पार्टी के वरिष्ठ नेता और पूर्व वित्त मंत्री पी. चिदंबरम से मिलने पहुंचे. बता दें कि पी चिदंबरम INX मीडिया मामले में बीते तीन सप्ताह से तिहाड़ जेल में बंद है और आज दिल्ली हाईकोर्ट में उनकी जमानत याचिका पर भी सुनवाई होनी है. पी. चिदंबरम पर आरोप है कि उनके वित्त मंत्री रहते विदेशी निवेश को मंज़ूरी दी गई. CBI ने इस मामले में उनके बेटे कार्ति को भी गिरफ़्तार किया था और फिलहाल वह जमानत पर हैं. कार्ति पर 2007 में INX मीडिया को विदेशी निवेश संवर्धन बोर्ड (एफआईपीबी) की मंजूरी दिलाने के लिए पैसे लेने का आरोप है. सीबीआई ने पिछले साल 15 मई को मामले में प्राथमिकी दर्ज की थी.

भारतीय वायुसेना के हमले के बाद बालाकोट में फिर शुरू हुए आतंकी कैंप

बालाकोट हमले के बाद एक बार फिर यहां बने आतंकी कैंप के फिर से सक्रिय हो गए हैं. बता दें कि बालाकोट पर हुए भारतीय वायुसेना के हमले में ये कैंप तबाह हो गए थे, लेकिन सूत्रों ने बताया कि जैश-ए-मोहम्मद से जुड़े आतंकियों ने कैंप में फिर से काम करना का शुरू कर दिया है. सूत्रों से मिली जानकारी के अनुसार इन कैंपों से 129 आतंकी लॉन्च पैड पर भारतीय सीमा में घुसपैठ करने को तैयार है. बता दें कि 5 अगस्त के बाद से भारतीय सीमा में घुसपैठ की घटनाएं 100 गुना बढ़ चुकी है. पिछले 45 दिनों में 60 आतंकियों ने घुसपैठ की. वहीं साल के शुरुआती 7 महीनों में घुसपैठ की सिर्फ 35 घटनाएं ही सामने आई थी. पाकिस्तान के प्रधानमंत्री इमरान खान जब अमेरिका दौरे पर गए थे तब इन कैंपों को हटा लिया गया था, लेकिन 5 अगस्त के बाद से इन्हें फिर से सक्रिय कर दिया गया.
