Rajasthan To Audit Deaths In Rural Areas Amid Underreporting Claims

The Rajasthan government has formed a three-member team to investigate and audit deaths in the second wave of the pandemic amid reports that Covid deaths were being under reported in the state. अमेरिका के बाद भारत में ही कोरोना के 20 करोड़ टीके

भारत, अमेरिका के बाद दुनिया में सबसे ज्यादा कोरोना रोधी टीके लगाने वाला देश बन गया है. केंद्रीय स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय ने बुधवार को कहा कि देश में अभी तक कोविड-19 रोधी टीके की 20.25 करोड़ से अधिक खुराक दी जा चुकी हैं. मंत्रालय ने कहा कि बुधव़ार को 18-44 आयु वर्ग के 8,31,500 लाभार्थियों को कोविड-19 रोधी टीके की पहली खुराक दी गई और टीकाकरण अभियान का तीसरा चरण एक मई से शुरू होने के बाद से 37 राज्यों और केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों में कुल मिलाकर 1,38,62,428 लोगों ने इसे प्राप्त किया है.

Fugitive diamond merchant Mehul Choksi - one of India's most wanted in connection with the Punjab National Bank loan fraud case - has been captured from Dominica while trying to flee to Cuba, sources have said. The 62-year-old had gone missing earlier this week from the Caribbean island nation of Antigua and Barbuda, where he fled in 2018. His disappearance came amid efforts to extradite him by the CBI and the Enforcement Directorate, which are investigating the Rs. 14,000 crore fraud at India's second largest state owned bank. The Union Home Ministry is likely to announce new guidelines for Covid, as the present one ends on May 31. Towards the end of every month, the ministry issues fresh nationwide Covid directives or extends the existing ones till the end of the next month. In continuation with this, the government will most likely issue directives for June today.

In Haryana, Law For Recovery Of Damage To Property During Protests

A law which allows the authorities to recover compensation from violent protesters who cause damage to property has come into effect in Haryana. Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij said on Wednesday that the Act was notified by the state government earlier this month. "With the implementation of the Act in the state, any damage done to people's shops, houses, government offices, vehicles, buses and other public property in guise of any movement will be recovered from the protesters," he said, as per an official statement. चक्रवात यास: आगे बढ़ते तूफान का दिखने लगा है असर

कोरोना के मामलों में अब कमी दर्ज की जा रही है. मंगलवार को स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय द्वारा जारी आंकड़ों के अनुसार पिछले 24 घंटों में एक लाख 96 हजार 427 नए मामले दर्ज किए गए हैं. लंबे अंतराल के बाद दैनिक संक्रमितों की तादात 2 लाख से नीचे आई है. इससे पहले 14 अप्रैल को 1 लाख 84 हजार मामले आए थे. 15 अप्रैल को 2 लाख से ज्यादा मामले आए थे और तब से ही लगातार 2 लाख के पार नए मामले बने हुए थे. पिछले 24 घंटों में 3511 मरीजों की मौत हुई है. राहत की बात ये है कि इस अवधि में संक्रमण से मुक्त होने वाले मरीजों की संख्या नए मरीजों से करीब 1.30 लाख ज्यादा है. आपकी जानकारी के लिए बता दें कि पिछले 24 घंटों में 3 लाख 26 हजार 850 मरीज इस वायरस को मात देने में कामयाब हुए हैं.

Maharashtra on Saturday reported 26,133 fresh COVID-19 cases and 682 deaths, taking the tally to 55,53,225 and the death count to 87,300, the state health department said. With 40,294 patients getting discharged during the day, Maharashtra's overall count of recoveries rose to 51,11,095, leaving the state with 3,52,247 active cases, it said, adding the case recovery rate improved to 92.04 per cent while the fatality rate increased to 1.57 per cent.
