I interacted with entrepreneurs of companies making items using plastic. Some are even making tiles and brick from plastic that has been approved by the Army itself for its strength. A startup in Pune generates fuel oil from plastic. Another one uses discarded plastic flex and creates schools to donate to kind. A company is making fibers from plastic that can be used in low-cost housing. Four thousand products are being made in India that were made from plastic waste. We need to recycle plastic again and again. We need to use bio-degradable plastic and I think more research needs to be done on this.
