NDTV - Dettol Banega Swasth India Campaign Ambassador, Amitabh Bachchan started off the 12-hour Swasthagraha by setting the agenda of the campaign. After five years of Banega Swachh India initiative, Mr Bachchan explained how being swachh (cleanliness) is integral to being swasth (healthy). So, to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Mahtma Gandhi, who started Satyagraha, a civil disobedience movement by holding on to the values of truth and non-violence, Mr Bachchan hoped that a new movement si born this Gandhi Jayanti, to push for a healthy India through 'Swasthagraha'. The campaign will focus on health of mother and child, and envisions a future for our children where there is clean air to breathe, clean water to drink and healthy nutritious food for all.
