'Hate Speech' To 'Fixing Cases': Untangling The CBI Web

From accusations of hate speech, to phone records that claim to prove extortion - fresh details of the escalating scandal within the CBI have emerged. First more damning details about the acting CBI chief Nageswar Rao - the CPM has objected to his being made acting chief; they say, because when Mr Rao was posted in Odisha 20 years ago, he made a virulent speech targeting minorities. Mr Rao, in a statement today denied all allegations. In more damning allegations, this time from a Deputy Superintendent of Police in CBI, AK Bassi.
