Four faces were missing from a cabinet meeting called by Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday. While three gave reasons, the fourth, remained incommunicado till late in the evening. At least eight passengers on UK-India flights tested positive for coronavirus. Their samples will be tested for the new strain. Several states have started contact-tracing passengers who returned from the UK and Europe over the last couple of days. Mumbai has gone under night curfew. In other news, hundreds of farmers protesting against the new farm laws showed black flags to Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar while he was going to Ambala, forcing a u-turn. The Abdullah-Mufti Gupkar alliance won big in the local election in Jammu and Kashmir. Omar Abdullah said the people have given their opinion on the centre's move to scrap special status for Jammu and Kashmir.
