ठंड से कांप रही दिल्ली ने 118 सालों का सबसे सर्द दिसंबर झेला है. इस हाड़ कंपाती ठंड के बीच दिल्ली के शाहीन बाग़ इलाक़े में पिछले 17 दिनों से महिलाओं का विरोध प्रदर्शन चल रहा है. नागरिकता संशोधन क़ानून के विरोध में ये महिलाएं ठंड को मात देते हुए रात में धरने पर बैठी रहती हैं. हर उम्र की महिलाएं अपना घर-बार छोड़कर धरने में शामिल हैं. वो अपने साथ बच्चों को भी लेकर आती हैं. दिन में यहां जामिया के छात्र और स्थानीय लोग प्रदर्शन करते हैं, जबकि रात में ये महिलाएं इसलिए यहां बैठी रहती हैं ताक़ि पुलिस उस जगह को उनसे छीन न ले.

जनरल बिपिन रावत ने संभाला CDS का पद, तीनों सेनाओं की कमान होगी हाथों में

जनरल बिपिन रावत ने बुधवार को देश के पहले चीफ ऑफ डिफेंस स्टाफ (Chief of Defence Staff) का कार्यभार संभाल लिया है. बिपिन रावत, 31 दिसंबर को सेना प्रमुख के पद से रिटायर हो गए थे. कार्यभार ग्रहण करने से पहले रावत ने दिल्ली के वार मेमोरियल पर देश के शहीद जवानों को नमन किया. बिपिन रावत के साथ नए सेना प्रमुख मनोज मुकुंद नरवणे, एयर चीफ मार्शल राकेश कुमार सिंह भदौरिया और नौसेना प्रमुख करमबीर सिंह ने भी देश के शहीद जवानों को नमन किया. इस अवसर पर CDS बिपिन रावत ने कहा कि तीनों ही सेना मिलकर काम करेगी, मुझे जो जिम्मेदारी दी गई उसके अनुसार मैं एकता और संसाधन के बेहतर उपयोग के लिए काम करुंगा.

दिल्ली-एनसीआर में सोमवार सुबह घने कोहरे ने 6 लोगों की जान ले ली. ग्रेटर नोएडा के थाना दनकौर क्षेत्र में हुए दर्दनाक हादसे में संभल से दिल्ली आ रही एक आर्टिगा कार घने कोहरे के चलते नहर दिखाई ना देने पर उसमें जा गिरी. कार में 11 लोग सवार थे, जिनमें 6 लोगों की मौत हो गई. मृतकों में दो नाबालिग भी थे. पांचों घायलों का कैलाश अस्पताल में इलाज चल रहा है. पुलिस मामले की जांच कर रही है.

गृह मंत्री अमित शाह भले ही कह रहे हैं कि एनपीआर का एनआरसी से कोई लेना-देना नहीं हैं, लेकिन उनकी ही सरकार ने संसद में एक-दो बार नहीं, बल्कि नौ बार एनपीआर और एनआरसी के लिंक जोड़े हैं. 8 जुलाई 2014 को तत्कालीन केंद्रीय गृह राज्यमंत्री किरेन रिजीजू ने राज्यसभा में कांग्रेस सांसद के सवाल के जवाब में कहा था कि एनपीआर की समीक्षा की जा रही है और इसके ज़रिए नागरिकता की स्थिति का वेरिफ़िकेशन किया जाएगा. 15 जुलाई को दोबारा लोकसभा में प्रश्नकाल के दौरान रिजीजू ने अपने इस बयान को दोहराया था. खुद गृहमंत्री अमित शाह राज्यसभा में कह चुके हैं कि NPR एनआरसी की दिशा में पहला क़दम है.

कश्मीर से अर्धसैनिक बल के 7000 हजार जवान वापस बुलाए गए

केंद्रीय गृह मंत्रालय ने सुरक्षा को लेकर समीक्षा के बाद कश्मीर से 7,000 से अधिक अर्द्धसैन्य जवानों की तुरंत वापसी का आदेश दिया है। अधिकारियों ने मंगलवार को इस बारे में जानकारी दी. उन्होंने कहा कि केंद्रीय सशस्त्र पुलिस बलों (सीएपीएफ) की कुल 72 कंपनियों को देश भर में अपने स्थानों पर ‘लौटने’ को कहा गया है. इस तरह की एक कंपनी में करीब 100 कर्मी होते हैं. सीआरपीएफ, बीएसएफ, आईटीबीपी, सीआईएसएफ और एसएसबी से ली गयी इन टुकड़ियों को जम्मू कश्मीर का विशेष दर्जा खत्म किए जाने के बाद कश्मीर घाटी भेजा गया था.

संशोधित नागरिकता कानून (CAA) के खिलाफ गत 19 दिसम्बर को राजधानी लखनऊ में हुई हिंसा के 'मास्टरमाइंड' समेत दो लोगों को सोमवार को गिरफ्तार किया गया. वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधीक्षक कलानिधि नैथानी ने बताया कि लखनऊ में गत 19 दिसम्बर को हुए हिंसक प्रदर्शन के मास्टरमाइंड नदीम और उसके सहयोगी अशफाक को गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया है. उन्होंने बताया कि इनके एक सहयोगी वसीम को पहले ही गिरफ्तार किया गया था. उसकी निशानदेही पर नदीम और अशफाक को गिरफ्त में लिया गया है. इन दोनों ने योजनाबद्ध तरीके से शांति भंग करने की साजिश रची थी. दोनों ने व्हाट्सएप के माध्यम से एनआरसी और सीएए के विरोध में लोगों को बड़ी संख्या में एकत्र होकर उग्र प्रदर्शन करने की बात फोटो और वीडियो के माध्यम से वायरल की गई.

CAA के बाद अब मोदी सरकार ला रही है NPR

केंद्र की मोदी सरकार नागरिक संशोधन कानून लागू करने के बाद अब राष्ट्रीय जनसंख्या पंजीकरण (NPR) लागू करने जा रही है. इस कानून के तहत ‘सामान्य निवासी’ को ऐसे व्यक्ति के रूप में परिभाषित किया जाता है जो किसी क्षेत्र में पिछले छह महीने या अधिक समय से निवास कर रहा हो या ऐसा व्यक्ति जो उस इलाके में अगले छह महीने या उससे अधिक समय तक रहना चाहता है. राष्ट्रीय जनसंख्या पंजी के लिए 2010 में 2011 की जनगणना में घरों को सूचीबद्ध करने के चरण के साथ आंकड़े एकत्रित किए गए थे. वर्ष 2015 में घर-घर जाकर सर्वेक्षण किया गया और इन आंकड़ों का नवीनीकरण किया गया.
