Pedestrian Subway In Kolkata Revamped With Murals Celebrating City's Culture, History

Celebrating the culture and history of Kolkata, the city's development board has put up murals on the walls of a new pedestrian subway at Biswa Bangla gate crossing in New Town. The New Town Kolkata Development Authority has put up images of iconic city structures such as the Howrah Bridge, the Dakshineswar Temple, the Belur Math, and the Victoria Memorial. A photo of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's statue and Goddess Durga's portrait has also been put up along with pictures of the city's famous trams and yellow taxis. (Video credit: ANI)
