Saudi Oil Firm Flies Over 1,000 Indian Workers Back Home

In what is being seen as the largest private repatriation from abroad, an oil company in Saudi Arabia has flown more than a thousand of its stranded Indian workers back home, arranging six chartered flights. These workers are largely from Tamil Nadu, Kerala Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. Amid the worldwide lockdown, the company took care of not just flight costs but also of hotel quarantine and food expenses. Many of them are now back home. The company says it collected no money from its employees. It spent around five crores towards chartering flights and for hotel quarantine.
