5 Infiltrators Shot Dead By BSF Along The Border With Pakistan In Punjab

Five infiltrators were shot dead by the Border Security Force in an encounter along the Indo-Pak border in Punjab early this morning. The infiltrators were trying to enter the Indian side through the Khemkaran border area in Tarn Taran district when they were spotted by the BSF patrol team, officials said.

India recorded its biggest single-day jump in coronavirus cases with 69,878 new patients registered in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said this morning. The latest spike takes the total to 29,75,701 cases. About 22.22 lakh people have recovered so far. The country, third worst-affected by the pandemic after the United States and Brazil, has been reporting the highest number of daily cases in the world for the last 18 days.

Suspected ISIS Operative Arrested In Delhi, Was Plotting Attack: Police

A suspected ISIS operative was arrested in Delhi last night after a brief shootout, the police said, adding that he was plotting an attack. Abu Yusuf, the accused, was arrested at around 11:30 PM by the special cell of the Delhi Police, officials said. Two Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) and one pistol was recovered from him. He was planning a lone wolf attack, they said.

दिल्ली पुलिस की स्पेशल सेल (Delhi Police Special Cell) ने शनिवार को आतंकी संगठन ISIS के एक संदिग्ध आतंकी को गिरफ्तार किया. स्पेशल सेल एनकाउंटर ने राजधानी के धौला कुआं और करोल बाग रिज रोड पर बीती रात हुई एक मुठभेड़ के बाद इसे पकड़ा. गिरफ्तार संदिग्ध का नाम यूसुफ बताया जा रहा है. पुलिस ने इसके पास से दो आईईडी और एक पिस्टल भी बरामद की है.
