In Kathua Rape-Murder, Court Asks For Case Against Probe Team Members

Four months after six people were convicted in the 2018 rape and murder of an eight-year-old nomadic girl in a village in Jammu's Kathua, a local court directed the police on Tuesday to file a FIR against six members of the Special Investigation Team (SIT), which probed the case, for allegedly torturing and coercing witnesses to give false statements.

Four days after the murder of Hindu Samaj Party leader Kamlesh Tiwari in Lucknow, the anti-terrorism squad of the Gujarat police arrested his two alleged killers on Tuesday from a location near the state's border with Rajasthan. This has taken the total number of people arrested in the case to six. According to police, the accused - Ashfaq Hussain (34) and Moinuddin Pathan (27) - killed the Hindu group leader to avenge certain statements against Prophet Mohammad that he had purportedly made in the past.

पराली जलाने से पंजाब के कई शहरों में बढ़ता प्रदूषण

आध्यात्मिक गुरु कल्कि भगवान के घर आयकर विभाग के छापे

आयकर विभाग ने शुक्रवार को कहा कि आध्यात्मिक गुरू कल्कि भगवान द्वारा स्थापित कंपनियों और ट्रस्टों के दक्षिणी राज्यों में फैले परिसरों पर तलाशी में 500 करोड़ रुपये से ज्यादा की अघोषित आय का पता चला है. अघोषित आय में करीब 409 करोड़ रुपये की बेहिसाब नकद प्राप्तियां शामिल हैं. आयकर विभाग की आधिकारिक विज्ञप्ति में कहा गया कि कुल 43.9 करोड़ रुपये नकद और 18 करोड़ रुपये की अमेरिकी मुद्रा जब्त की गयी. कुल 93 करोड़ रुपये मूल्य की नकदी जब्त की गयी. पता चला कि यह समूह कर पनाहगाह के रूप में मशहूर क्षेत्रों में निवेश कर रहा है और आयकर विभाग भारत में करदेय आय को भारत के बाहर इकाइयों में भेजे जाने की जांच कर रहा है. आंध्र प्रदेश के वरदैयाहपालेम, चेन्नई, हैदराबाद और बेंगलुरू में ‘आरोग्य पाठ्यक्रम’ चलाने वाली कंपनियों और ट्रस्टों के करीब 40 परिसरों पर बुधवार को छापे मारे गये. कंपनियों की स्थापना आध्यात्मिक गुरू कल्कि भगवान ने की है.
