New Video Of Meerut Woman's Muslim Friend Being Beaten, As Cop Watches

Two days after a disturbing video from Meerut showed the Uttar Pradesh police personnel hitting and abusing a woman in a police vehicle for being friendly with a Muslim man, another video from the same day shows right wing goons assaulting her friend in the presence of a cop. The UP police chief Om Prakash Singh, in a tweet said, "The Meerut incident is an act of gross imprudence by a few errant cops. Irresponsible and insensitive behaviour by UP cops would not be tolerated. A job of a policeman is to maintain highest standards of probity which must be upheld at all times. Corrective action is being taken.

An Army soldier and a civilian were killed and a terrorist was shot dead after security forces launched multiple counter-terrorist operations in Jammu and Kashmir. The soldier and the terrorist were killed during a pre-dawn encounter at Dooru in Anantnag district, 65 km from Srinagar.

Zero Stars For Renault Lodgy In Global NCAP Crash Test

The Renault Lodgy has scored a poor zero star rating in the latest set of crash tests that were carried out by the Global NCAP. As with every other vehicle tested by Global NCAP, the lodgy was tested at 64 kmph in the frontal offset crash test. Adult crash safety was rated at zero stars for the Renault lodgy while child safety in the rear seat was rated at two stars. The lodgy MPV that was tested did not have airbags nor did it offer child safety systems like Isofix. The Lodgy also does not have ABS as standard. NCAP has also rated the body shell of the Lodgy as unstable.
