Shashi Tharoor-Led Parliamentary Panel To Hear Facebook Reps Today

Facebook representatives are expected to appear before a parliamentary committee today amid a huge controversy over allegations by US publication Wall Street Journal that the social media giant overlooked hate speech posted by leaders of the BJP and right wing groups. The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Information Technology chaired by Congress's Shashi Tharoor, which considers issues like social media abuse, had asked Facebook India to answer questions raised by the WSJ article.

इलाहाबाद हाईकोर्ट के आदेश के घंटों बाद डॉ कफील खान (Dr Kafeel Khan) को देर करीब 12 रात रिहा कर दिया गया. रिहाई को बाद डॉ कफील खान ने अदालत का शुक्रिया अदा किया. उन्होंने कहा कि जिन लोगों ने भी उनके लिए आवाज उठाई वो उनके लिए हमेशा आभारी रहेंगे. डॉ कफील खान ने इसके साथ ही आशंका जताई की सरकार उन्हें फिर किसी मामले में फंसा सकती है.

देश प्रदेश: आगरा में अस्पताल का बिल नहीं चुकाने पर देना पड़ा बच्चा

यूपी के आगरा (Agra) के निजी अस्पताल पर बच्चा खरीदने के गंभीर आरोप लगे हैं. यहां एक रिक्शा चालक शिवचरण प्रसव के लिए अपनी पत्नी को शहर के जेपी अस्पताल लेकर गया. जहां 24 अगस्त को बेटे के जन्म हुआ और बिल 30 हजार आया. अस्पताल पर आरोप है कि शिवचरण अस्पताल के 30 हजार रु. देने में असमर्थ था. उसके बाद अस्पताल की तरफ से बच्चे को खरीदने की बात कही गई.

UP Doctor Kafeel Khan, Detained Under NSA, Released From Jail At Midnight

Kafeel Khan, the Uttar Pradesh doctor jailed under the tough National Security Act (NSA) for an alleged speech against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act or CAA, was freed from a jail in Mathura at midnight on Wednesday. The Allahabad High Court on Tuesday called his detention illegal and ordered the government to free him immediately. The doctor's speech did not show any effort to promote hate or violence, the Allahabad High Court had said.

Renault offers the AMT on RXL, RXT and the RXZ variants of the Triber and the prices start at Rs. 6.25 lakh, going up to Rs. 7.29 lakh. On an average, the AMT variants are about Rs. 40,000 more expensive than their manual counterparts and while the price gap could have been lesser, it is not drastically different either.

भारत के पूर्व राष्ट्रपति प्रणब मुखर्जी (Pranab Mukherjee) का 84 साल की उम्र में सोमवार की शाम निधन हो गया था. मंगलवार को उनका राजकीय सम्मान से अंतिम संस्कार (State Funeral) कर दिया गया. उन्हें सैन्य विदाई (military honours) दी गई. पूर्व राष्ट्रपति की इसी महीने ब्रेन सर्जरी हुई थी. वहीं वो कोरोनावायरस से भी पीड़ित थे. उनके निधन के बाद केंद्र सरकार और कई राज्य सरकारों ने सात दिनों के आधिकारिक शोक दिवस की घोषणा की है.
