Lakhs of women from across Kerala are expected to form a 620 km state sponsored 'Women's Wall today to uphold gender equality and renaissance values, in the backdrop of frenzied protests in Sabarimala after the ruling LDF decided to implement the Supreme Court verdict, allowing all women to pray at the Ayyappa shrine. The women will form the wall from Kasargod in northern Kerala to the southernmost district of Thiruvananthapuram.

Man Accused Of Attacking Bulandshahr Cop With Axe Arrested
A second man who led the fatal attack on a police officer in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, during the mob violence of December 3 has been arrested. The police said the man, identified as Kalua, had attacked Inspector Subodh Kumar Singh with an axe, chopping off a couple of his fingers and then inflicting a head wound. After that, the officer was shot. Prashant Nutt, the man who allegedly pulled the trigger, was arrested on December 28.

The law minister of Tamil Nadu has alleged that two senior bureaucrats lied about former chief minister J Jayalalithaa's health condition during her treatment in Chennai's Apollo Hospitals in 2016.
